WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENING BAND ARRIVE?

We will quote to arrive at around  6pm onwards. If performing in the same room as the wedding breakfast, as is often the case, the band will wait for the meal and speeches to finish before loading in their gear. Most bands take 60 – 90 minutes to set up which gives plenty of time for guests to stretch the legs and mingle after the formalities are over.

HOW LONG DOES THE BAND PLAY FOR?

We offer  2 x 1 hour sets as standard with an an I-pad 'DJ' playback set before, in-between and after, this should be outlined in your quote. With the evening reception lasting up to five hours or more, some couples are concerned that this isn’t enough performance time, but, from experience I can promise that this is the perfect length of time if scheduled properly. For the best experience, I usually suggest starting the band midway through the evening and ending as close to midnight as possible. With the first dance, evening food, cutting of the cake and playlists throughout the evening, you should find your guests are kept thoroughly entertained until midnight. WHAT NEXT?
Upon informing us of your chosen date, we will check our availability. We will then reply back to you within 24 hours to confirm our availability.

From here, we will send out a contract for you to fill out. Once we have received the completed contract, you have yourselves a sparkly wedding band, job done!

WILL THE BAND LEARN OUR FIRST DANCE ?

Absolutely, you have the choice! Our singer can either perform your first dance (2 weeks notice prior required) or you can provide us with a first dance song on a device (phone/tablet) that we will plug into the PA. See our repertoire page for ideas and recordings.

CAN I PICK THE SET LIST?

With a huge list of songs in the band’s repertoire, you’re bound to have your favourites. Whilst we love to have free reign on the night, we welcome a short list of do’s and don’ts a few weeks in advance.

CAN I USE THE BAND’S PA FOR SPEECHES?

If only the evening package is booked, we will usually set up after the speeches, and so paying extra for the day package rather than hiring your own PA company simply makes sense!

WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN SETS? 

We include a  playlist on our tablet with enough music to cover the whole evening.

HOW MUCH WILL THE BAND COST, WHY IS THE QUOTE HIGHER THAN THE PRICE ON THE WEBSITE?

 It's common practise within performing bands that quotes may well be higher than the advertised ‘from’ price on the website and this is due to travel costs and the extra time travelling. Other factors include the day of the week and peak season price variations.

A deposit of £99 will be required within 14 days of booking to secure your date.

You then have the choice of paying up fully or paying in our 2 stage Payment Plan when paying your balance at no extra cost. The payments are spaced equally between the date of booking and the month before your wedding. This just makes it easier for most to spread the cost. Let us know within your booking email how you may like to pay and we will place that into your contract.

WHAT IF A BAND MEMBER FALLS ILL ON THE DAY?

As a professional wedding band we have a trusted group of musicians that we can call upon in an emergency, these are referred to as ‘Dep musicians’ and are an essential part of the industry. Rest assured that a good Dep can drop into a band seamlessly. Sorted!

DOES THE BAND BRING THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT, WHAT DO WE NEED TO HIRE?

We come fully self-contained, this means all PA system, backline and lighting is included as part of the deal.

CAN WE SEE THE BAND LIVE BEFORE HAND?

Understandably; due to our busy working life and gig schedule, we are not able to perform public shows. We can however offer for you to come along to select open mic nights within Derby or Nottingham to see our talented singers perform acoustically to get a taste of what you can expect on your big day. OUR VENUE REQUIRES A COPY OF THE BAND’S PLI AND PAT, WHAT IS THIS AND DO THE BAND HAVE IT?

PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance, every band will need to be insured protecting them from possible injury claims that are made against them. PAT standards for Portable Appliance Testing; it’s not required by law but many venues will request a copy. Our band has a copy so just ask and we will send it through.
